From Lorelle :

PUDDING MORPHINA (Julien Doré)
Paris Première - Paris Croisière 29/05/08

One of the oldest titles of the album. I wrote it even before putting on Dig Up Elvis. I remember having worked in it alone, at home, there is for a very long time, like 6 years. [../..] It kept the same chords, there is the same bridge at the same moment … Everything is the similar without I just thought in piano / voice of way Nick Cave, and finally, by playing it in studio, we managed to take it somewhere else.

(Julien Doré - Rockmag June 2008)

Credibly, Julien Doré presented us the first version, such as he imagined it during his conception. Purified version, voice / piano.

Pudding Morphina (Julien Doré)
Such he sang during the broadcast Paris Croisière (*)

And I was born dead in your home
Watching TV mum you’re welcome
Into my car smelling pudding morphina
Wearing my elesses you should come
And eat all pets you’ll could found
Between any sick teeth of monkey town
My sick brain
Is leaving my head
My sick brain
Is quick in me
I feel smelling beer and bread
My nose gives funk rythm to them
Between big balls of business man
And I was learning in my bed
When you told me you were drunk
Thank you fucking pudding morphina
And I’m fucking on Madonna
And I’m fucking on Sri Lanka
And I’m burying God and faith
I’m still in my wrecking dress
In the room of being baby dead
In the room of being baby dead
And I was born in morphina
I had to learn to breath and swim
Into my glass of hospital
My sick brain is quick in me
My sick brain is leaving my head

And I was born in morphina
I had to learn to breath and swim
Into my glass of hospital

(*) Different from those spread in the article of "L'Essentiel" However, here, the words are also transcribed by " pick up " (in the listening), and are thus available with reserve Smile
